Motive aus Weish und Sir bei den Kirchenvätern und im Midrasch

Abstract

Wisdom and Ben Sira are books whose status as biblical books was discussed in patristic and rabbinic times. Nevertheless, they were used by the Church Fathers as well as the rabbis. This paper discusses some patristic and rabbinic texts using Wisdom and Ben Sira to elucidate the status and authority of these two books.
