The published lecture illuminates three characteristic topics from the Book of Ben Sira: Sir as an example of the relationship between text, canon and inspired scripture of the Church; Sir as testimony of a manifold discourse at a turning point in the biblical tradition and beyond; wisdom and fear of the Lord as fundamental center of the book.
