Weisheit und Schöpfung

Abstract

This article deals with three essential aspects of wisdom in relation to creation. Wisdom is defined as the knowledge of creation, coping with the creation and teaching prudence for life.

In a sapiential discourse the relation of proverbial wisdom to creation is explored with regard to the creation stories (Gen 1–3) of the primeval times. The different aspects lead to a call for a holistic approach to life as it is promoted by ecotheology.
