Abstract

Since LXX changed in Ps 7:13‒17 the subject from Elohim to the enemies men-tioned in v. 6–7.10, translation as well as interpretation would follow this suggestion for rea-sons of metaphorical understanding and an anthropological and theological logic. If the sub-ject in these verses remains Elohim, as MT says, v. 12‒17 appear as a reflection of the prayer’s images of the divine. Then the whole psalm is merely a presentation of a transformation pro-cess to the ability of reconciliation than a statement of innocence.
